CASE STUDY

Defining the value of an information group

Project: MDA ACCESS BC WEBSITE

Challenge

Through their online portal, MDA Access BC’s e-filing services streamlined many bureaucratic processes, making transactions with government organizations much easier and faster. However, their offering did not have any tangible representation and was difficult to understand for the layperson. They needed an approach that would identify the key benefits of their offering and effectively market their suite of services.

Solution

smashLAB developed a concept that humanized the technology company through hand-illustrated images and customer testimonials. The treatment also emphasized the simplicity offered by their turnkey solutions and seamless integration. Through carefully chosen language and focused messaging the new site gave potential partners the sense that they could concentrate more on their own business rather than the processes and technology behind it.

Result

Given the ability to update the site with minimal cost or effort, the majority of their marketing and communications are driven through the site. Senior Business Analyst, Rick Marx says, “With our new site, we have been able to put a face on our organization and make our invaluable data products and services more tangible to our potential partners.” MDA Access BC continues to be the province’s premier portal for government data services online.
