One of the things that people seem to find interesting about smashLAB is our desire to keep our “hands in the dirt”. Doing so helps us better understand the trends and technologies that we employ. As a result, this makes us stronger designers, developers and marketers; plus, it’s fun.
The news we want to read
There’s never a shortage of things to read these days, but sometimes it’s hard to find a good source for stories specifically related to one’s field of interest. As such, we created undrln. It’s a basic little site that allows people interested in advertising, marketing and design to share good articles and vote on their favorites. For those who feel so inclined, there are also discussion threads, allowing them to voice their opinions.

Doing what we can to affect climate change
One day we looked around and realized how much waste designers create. For the following year, we worked on Design Can Change: an initiative aimed at uniting the world's graphic designers to use their influence and purchasing power to combat climate change. Since then, over 2,000 designers from 80 countries have taken the pledge and committed to more sustainable practices.
